Kitchen Assistant, YMCA Camp Shady Brook

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Summer seasonal position for 11 weeks. Responsible for preparing good tasting healthy food under the supervision of the Food Service Director. Will maintain a safe, clean kitchen, as well as assist with food preparation and cleanup. Meals and lodging provided. MINIMUM CRITERIA FOR CANDIDATES: Required: 18 years of age or older First Aid, CPR/AED Certification Preferred: Previous camp experience Previous experience working in a kitchen setting Current ServSafe Food Handler certification KEY FOCUS AREAS: Food preparation Kitchen cleanliness Assisting with special food needs SALARY RANGE: Seasonal 11 week position $1,700-$1,900/season. Room and board provided, plus 12% retirement benefits after eligibility requirements are met
