1996 Honda ATC350X

For sale is a tastefully restored 1986 Honda ATC 350X. I am the third owner of this machine, and have the original title from when this machine was purchased new on 6-6-1986. The machine was a decent low hour machine when I bought it, but was beginning to show its age. I wanted it to look as good as it did when it rolled off the showroom floor. The following work was done to achieve that: The machine was stripped down to the frame. The frame was blasted and re-painted. The tank was stripped down to the bare metal, re-painted, and recovered with factory decals. All bearings/pivot points were inspected and then greased to ensure a long life. The entire electrical system was taken apart, cleaned, and reinstalled. All other items were disassembled, cleaned, and re-installed. The engine freshened up by installing a new Wiseco piston with a .20 overbore. The valves had some minor wear so they were cleaned and re-ground to create a perfect seal. The motor has approximately 1 hour run time on it since the rebuild. It runs very strong with no smoke, and will give countless years of dependability. To finish it off I installed a new set of Maier fenders and a set of factory replica decals. The fenders are brand new. The machine still has the factory seat and cover which still looks brand new. The rims and tires are original. The front tire has approx. 75% tread life left while the rears have approx. 50% tread left. These are the original tires to this machine! They hold air and are not dry rotted. All three rims are in good condition with no major dings or dents. All parts on this machine are original to it. Gas tank, rims and tires, tool box, motor, headlight, electrical, etc. The only non-original factory parts are the fenders, piston, and air filter (replaced with a K&N because the factory filter was deteriorating). Everything works as it should including the factory headlight, kill switch, decompressor etc. It needs nothing. This machine is as mint as you will find. Each of the 3 owners of this machine have kept it indoors. It’s spent the last 15+ years of its life in a heated shop. This project has been my baby, but it’s time for a new home. I know I have probably forgot something, so if you have any questions please feel free to text or call 815-970-0679. Absolutely no joy rides, tire kickers, or low ballers. This is a collector quality machine. I’m selling this machine to free up space in my shop, therefore I’m not looking for any trades. I’m asking $4,900. Thanks for looking.
