"Little Boy Blue" Collector's Plate

Little boy blue, Come blow your horn, The sheep's in the meadow, The cow's in the corn. But where is the boy Who looks after the sheep? He's under a haystack, Fast asleep. This is a vintage, 1980, “Little Boy Blue Plate” , that is part of a collector series, painted by the artist, John McClellend . Composed of fine porcelain china, this second issue was produced by Reco as an exclusive limited edition confined to and permanently closed in 1980. The plate number is 06951F, while the Brandex number is 84-60-2.2. As the nursery rhyme stipulates “Little Boy Blue” is portrayed as sleeping in the haystacks. He is wearing blue overalls with red and white patchwork, a white shirt, and carrying a horn. His figure is surrounded by farm animals; ie., cows and sheep stand among the corn stalks. The measurements approximate: 8 1/2” tall x 8 1/2” wide. I acquired this plate as part of an estate that I am charged with liquidating. It is in excellent condition with no chips, nor repairs; the paint coloration is vivid. On the backside of this plate is included a wire hanger for wall mounting. A certificate of authenticity is not included; as such I am negotiable with the selling price.
