Accounts Clerk/Administrative Assistant

POSITION DESCRIPTION Accounts Clerk/Administrative Assistant NAHCA is the premier professional association for the caregivers who serve our nation's frail and elderly. The association serves membership in 29 states, in almost 500 care centers with nearly 30,000 members. In the association™s 20 years of existence we have seen growth. The future of the profession and association are both very strong given the number of aging Americans. We have to potential to achieve remarkable things for our members. This will be accomplished, in part as a result of the exceptional work of our team. We are currently searching for a QuickBooks savvy Administrative Assistant to work onsite at our headquarters. Successful candidates will have excellent customer service skills and must be outcome-oriented. The ability to work in a fast paced environment with strong attention to detail is essential. You will be fully engaged and busy from the first day and we guarantee there will never be a dull moment. Responsibilities & Requirements Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information. Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes. Debit, credit, and total accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting software. Compile statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports and tables pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profits and losses. Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records. Strong administrative skills Demonstrated ability to utilize the primary programs within the Microsoft Office Suite. Qualifications Experience in QuickBooks software management and data entry A minimum of six months of experience as an administrative assistant or accounts clerk. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Salary depends on skills and experience. The successful candidate will be eligible for healthcare coverage and may elect coverage for their family.
