1958 BSA A-10 SUPER ROCKET
Custom bobber chopper: Full custom bike, blending vintage and handmade parts with careful workmanship. The frame design was based on stock dimensions, changed in a few key areas. The fresh engine was rebuilt using specs from an old race prep manual (circa 1958) Nearly 900 hours invested in building this truly âone-offâ bike nearly from scratch. Â· Jig built custom frame, built from DOM tubing and fully TIG welded. Â· 28 degrees of rake, 4â stretch in rear. Frame is 1â shorter than stock at seat post. Â· BSA QD rear wheel and drum. Drum machined to take 8 bolt Triumph sprocket. Â· Honda CB trees, MR175 forks, wheel and brake. Â· Dunlop K180 rear tire, Avon Speedmaster front. Â· BSA A10 fuel tank, narrowed and reshaped, TIG welded. Â· Aluminum rear fender, two layers thick for added strength. Â· 1937 Ford tail light, headlight is an old fog lamp from the 40s, with a vintage motorcycle lens. Â· All paint is Sikkens urethane base clear. Â· Fresh engine with .040â over HHC pistons and blueprinted oil pump Â· 67-357 cam, moly pushrods. Â· Aluminum Super Rocket head, fully ported with radius valve seats and oversize valves, new iron guides with bronze liners. Â· All stainless exhaust, 1 5/8â diameter with tuned length megaphones. Â· Bob Newby Racing belt drive (I cannot say enough good things about it, itâs an incredible setup) Â· New Joe Hunt magneto with stock auto advance gear for easier starting. Â· New Amal 930 on custom inlet manifold. Â· 12V charging system; Boyer regulator, generator rebuilt for 12V. All wiring is cloth covered. Â· Rebuilt STD transmission, new bearings polished shafts etc. 19/46 final drive sprockets. Â· Custom 3qt aluminum oil tank, return side restriction built into tank. Â· Custom stainless handlebars with reshaped Amal levers and NOS jackhammer grips. Â· Reshaped and polished A10 brake pedal, custom pegs/peg brackets. Sidestand is a reshaped and polished Triumph part. Â· RedTail Leather seat.
